Geographic Information System (GIS) Hazard Modeling Training for Improved Decision-Making and Early Warning Action of Local Government Units copy 1

This training will capacitate LGU staff in maximizing the potential of GIS—specifically, geoprocessing tools and techniques in forecast-based preparedness planning for flood and landslide hazard events. This will provide support to local decision-makers in making timely and appropriate assessments and actions with the use of generated landslide and flood hazard susceptibility maps. This training will involve a combination of lectures, practical demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and individual preparation and reporting of outputs.
