The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) is implementing the National Capability-Building Program on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in 2026. This forthcoming program is designed to train the public sector workforce with the goal of building a future-ready Philippine public sector with a strong AI talent base and institutional capacity, enabling innovative, efficient, and citizen-centric governance.
As a strategy to deliver this initiative at scale and with consistent quality, DAP, led by the Center for Strategic Futures (CSF), is strengthening its internal capacity through an AI Training of Trainers (ToT) to develop an in-house pool of AI practitioners drawn from its existing technical staff, who will serve as the program’s resource persons, curriculum stewards, and technical leads.
This ToT aims to equip selected DAP technical staff with the competencies to: (a) teach AI fundamentals to diverse government audiences; (b) design and implement capability-building programs that integrate AI into sectoral and functional training areas; and (c) lead and support AI project development, from use-case identification and solution design to implementation planning and responsible deployment.
